Chillblains + Auspicious Incantation = Energy Engine?
With Conjure Nightmare down to 15 Energy, would this be a viable option? The need for a curses attribute is zero, and you get an area enchantment removal. A Mesmer's fast casting also drops the 2 second cast down a bit.
Not exactly the next gamebreaker, but eh, just a thought.
Thoughts?

That also requires the mesmer to go Me/N, which is a pretty useless secondary.

I remember seeing people use this before the change to Conjure Nightmare but just bringing GoLE instead of Auspicious seems to work find for that build now.

We ran it for a bit on a n/me with hexes (:P) and it worked pretty well all in all. It could work, but it's pretty unnecessary atm, I think we only ran it at first to mess around and test random things.
There really isn't any decent reason to run it over glyph, the enchant removal is so unlikely to really do anything.

So you'd have to take DPS on a warrior instead. Big deal.

It has good synergy with auspicious. However, you automatically tie 2 skill slots for e management, you are locked to Me/N, and auspicious has a few fragile aspects to it as well (hope your chilblains doesn't get interrupted).

Auspicious isn't used up if Chilblains is interrupted.
I still like [skill]Ethereal Burden[/skill][skill]Kitah's Burden[/skill] with Auspicious Incantation. Yes it's two slots, but they also double up as snares.

But you have to sit around doing nothing for 8 seconds and wait for Chilblains to recharge (or blow the Auspicious on a lesser spell) - not good. I wouldn't even think about using this combo until Chilblains is changed to a 1 second cast.

True, but your 25 energy is. I often find myself using this combo at 35-40 energy. If you are interrupted, now you are sitting with <10 energy (probably in your high set to fuel the AC>Chilblains combo) waiting to cast chilblains again so you can get your energy. Moreover, if it gets hit with a dshot, you are forced to either sit for 25 seconds or use one of your cheap spells, not get a decent energy return, and disable one of your other spells you probably didn't want to disable.
meh, don't get me wrong I love this combo and use it a lot, I am just sharing some of my "experiences" with it

If you ran a me/mo sig of illusions smiter in a hex build, you could also bring scourge healing and scourge enchantment to punish party-healing, prots, and aegis. And then maybe some of the usual degen hexes and anti-warrior crap too.
